Rod Zeiler

Co-Owner, Gen 3 Contractors

Rod never set out to be a contractor—it just kind of happened. Over 25 years ago, a friend in another industry asked if he’d be willing to help finish out a subdivision and build homes on the remaining lots. Rod agreed to take it on in his spare time, and it didn’t take long before that side project became his full-time calling.

What keeps him coming back every day is simple: the satisfaction of building something tangible and seeing the excitement from the families he builds for. Rod combines a sharp business sense with a love for hands-on work, which makes him uniquely equipped to manage timelines, budgets, and people—all without losing sight of the end goal.

At heart, he says he’s “just a grown-up boy who gets to play with toys all day.” But behind that humility is decades of experience, a strong work ethic, and a genuine pride in a job well done.

Josh Lords

Co-Owner, Gen 3 Contractors

Josh didn’t follow a traditional path into construction—but it turns out, this is exactly where he was meant to be. After stepping away from college, he knew he needed a way to earn a living that felt real, fulfilling, and hands-on. Building gave him all of that and more. Over time, it evolved from a job into a passion.

What Josh loves most is the rhythm of the work—the way no two days are the same, and how every task brings him closer to something tangible. He takes pride in seeing a project through, knowing he gets to come back the next day and do it again.

Outside of work, you’ll find him fishing at the lake, hunting in the fall, or taking care of his land. He’s got a deep respect for hard work, quiet progress, and getting things done right—and it shows in every build he touches.
